Outline System Supplied for Massive Gospel Concert in Africa

LAGOS, Nigeria – CyTech World Communication, which added Outline GTO components to their inventory, used the speaker systems to support the massive interdenominational Gospel concert dubbed “The Experience.” Held Dec. 1, 2017 at Tafawa-Balewa Square, the event drew more than 700,000, according to crowd analysts. Launched in 2006, the event led by Pastor Paul Adefarasin is now one of Africa’s largest live events. The speaker setup covered a 280-by-200-meter area.

Gangneung Ice Arena was built for the 2018 Winter Olympics as the venue for the figure skating and short track speed skating competitions. K-array’s local distributor, Soundus, designed a system of Python-KP52 line arrays, chosen for clarity and even coverage within the multi-level, 12,000-capacity venue.

NBC Olympics Using Calrec Audio Consoles for XXIII Olympic Winter Games

PYEONGCHANG, South Korea – NBC Olympics, a division of the NBC Sports Group, selected Calrec Audio’s Summa, Artemis Ray, and Brio digital audio consoles to provide seamless audio mixing for its production of the XXIII Olympic Winter Games, now taking place in PyeongChang, South Korea, starting Feb. 8 and running through Feb. 25, 2018. Karl Malone, director, Sound Design, NBC Olympics, and Dave Letson, vice president of sales, Calrec Audio, announced the details shortly before the 2018 Winter Olympics got underway.
