CODA Audio announces the launch of its new CiRAY compact full-range, dual-10” line array speaker system. As the third element in the company’s VCA “family,” alongside ViRAY (dual-8”) and the flagship AiRAY (dual-12”), CiRAY has been developed to deliver ultimate flexibility for rental companies and installations.

Two additions to PreSonus’ CDL Series include the compact CDL10P and CDL Sub18. The result of years of R&D, the CDL Series combine the best attributes of point-source and line array technology. The constant-directivity design radiates a focused 120° pattern with consistent SPL throughout the frequency range for clear, articulate speech intelligibility and natural music reproduction for mid-sized venues, DJs, touring bands and portable applications. The 2-way 10-inch CDL10P top and 18” CDL Sub18 subwoofer cabinets each integrate 2,000 watts of Class-D power and can be flown or pole mounted.

d&b audiotechnik’s NoizCalc software tool can model the effects of unwanted far-field noise emission at live open-air events. Taking the complex electroacoustic behavior of different sound sources, designers and technicians can predict how the system’s various elements (including multiple festival stages) will work together in practice.

Avante Audio’s AS8 ACDC is a complete portable P.A. system that’s useable anywhere thanks to its integrated rechargeable battery. Courtesy of Sphere at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas and created by noted film director Darren Aronofsky, this video offers a preview of “Postcard from Earth,” the first of a series of “Sphere Experiences” produced specifically for the unique venue. Directed by Aronofsky, “Postcard from Earth” premieres Oct. 6. The grand opening for the $2.3 billion venue will happen Sept. 29 with the first of U2’s live concert residency shows, “U2: UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere.”

Here’s a behind the scenes tour of the audio setup for the City Sounds Luxembourg summer open-air festival. For 2023, the event employed a 72-box RCF Audio TT+ line array and cardioid subwoofer rig.
