2023 Tony Award Winners Announced

NEW YORK – The 76th Annual TONY Awards took place on June 11, 2023 without the usual teleprompter scripts due to the Writers Guild of America strike. Sound designers Nevin Steinberg (Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street) and Carolyn Downing (Life of Pi) won, respectively, for “Best Sound Design of a Musical” and “Best Sound Design of a Play.”

King Charles III’s Coronation Concert Enhanced with DiGiCo Quantum Consoles

LONDON – On May 7, the day after the coronation of King Charles III, England’s royal family and government leaders were among the 20,000 who attended the official Coronation concert featuring Katy Perry, Andrea Bocelli and Take That, among others. Sound designer Ben Milton oversaw a system that included seven DiGiCo Quantum 7 consoles.
