The Santa Fe Opera Re-Imagines ‘Orfeo’ Opera Production with Lectrosonics Wireless

SANTA FE, NM – Mark Grey, sound designer for the Santa Fe Opera’s new production of Orfeo, chose Lectrosonics SSM belt pack transmitters and channels of Venue2 receivers for the inventive production. “Thirteen channels are on characters who are onstage and sometimes offstage,” Grey noted. “The fourteenth is dedicated to a character who is only offstage. We also have wired microphones offstage,” he added, noting the use of DPA 4061 mics on the SSM belt packs.

Girl Named Tom Takes to the Road with Sennheiser EW-DX

USA – Girl Named Tom recently wrapped a three-month U.S. tour with Sennheiser’s EW-DX digital wireless system for vocals and electric and acoustic guitars along with an EW G4 wireless IEM system for all five musicians in the band. FOH/MON engineer (and tour manager) Felix Hunt credited the gear for its strength of signal, ease of use and consistency, night after night.
