Siren RnR Supports Japanese Singer’s Performance in Germany with RCF TT Systems

SIEGBURG, Germany – Uli Hoppert from Siren RnR used RCF TT 515-A, TT 808-AS, TT 515-A and TT 808-AS components to provide sound reinforcement for a free musical event organized by the German-Japanese Society in Siegburg. The event, staged in the Siegburg City Museum, featured Japanese singer Mitsuru Kijo performing with German pianist Holger Mantey.

Austin City Limits Using DPA Microphones for Shows at Moody Theater

AUSTIN, TX – Season 49 of PBS’ Austin City Limits kicked off with a performance at Austin’s Moody Theater that paired Grammy-winning duo Rodrigo y Gabriela with the Austin Symphony. That show also marked when audio supervisor Randy Reynolds started using DPA’s 4099 instrument condenser and 2011 twin diaphragm mics to provide quality sound for the show’s performances.

L-Acoustics Wins $5 Million Judgment against Tampa-based Counterfeit Operation

TAMPA – An investigation led by L-Acoustics late last year resulted in the seizure of 136 counterfeit products from Tampa-based rental company Se7ven Sounds Music, Inc. Along with the seizure, L-Acoustics filed a complaint against Se7ven Sounds for trademark infringement, counterfeiting and unfair competition. Last month, the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division ordered Se7ven Sounds Music to pay damages of $5 million to L-Acoustics.
