LAS VEGAS – From late May through June, Adam Sandler’s 100% Fresher Tour played arenas, amphitheaters and music centers across North America. RRS Audio Productions supported the tour’s audio needs with an L-Acoustics K2 line array system, one of many gigs the soundco has supported since acquiring the system last year.

SALT LAKE CITY – GENTRI – The Gentlemen Trio, a group of three tenors, travel light while performing at wide variety of audiences and venues. Supported by FOH engineer Ryan Smith and production manager Doug Olsen, the trio make use of a compact Allen & Heath dLive C1500 Surface and CDM32 MixRack at FOH and two IP8 Remote Controllers at monitors. Performance Audio, based in Salt Lake City, is supplying the gear.

BRIDGEVIEW, IL – Chicago Open Air presented a massive stadium show May 18-19 with an overall attendance of 25,000 at the SeatGeek Stadium (formerly Toyota Park) in Bridgeview, IL. Brown Note Productions, Inc. of Thornton, CO provided a substantial d&b audiotechnik GSL and KSL system for the two-day festival. System Of A Down, Tool, Ghost and other metal acts performed.

NEWTON, IA – Communication Innovators upgraded the audio system within the auditorium at Newton High School using loudspeakers and audio mixers offered by PreSonus. The new system includes WorxAudio X2i-P, V5T-P and WaveSeries 12Ai loudspeakers, a TL218SS subwoofer and a pair of Sceptre S8 studio monitors along with two PreSonus StudioLive Series III mixers.

WINTER PARK, FL – Fast-growing, nondenominational Action Church turned to Crown Design Group with two recent installation projects that centered on L-Acoustics Kara(i) and ARCS WiFo sound systems. The projects, at two of the church’s four locations, included a Kara(i) long throw system in the church’s main Winter Park location as well as an ARCS WiFo medium throw system for its smallest, in Sanford, FL.

LINCOLN, NE – After a demo, Jon Sauer, technical director at Berean Church, turned to Lincoln-based live event production company Inspirmedia to provide Allen & Heath dLive S7000 systems for FOH and monitor positions within the church’s 2,400-capacity auditorium.

HOUSTON – LD Systems helped ZZ Top kick off their 50th Anniversary tour with three shows in Texas supported by an L-Acoustics K Series loudspeaker system. LD Systems crew chief/systems engineer Julian Gates described the setup for the shows in Dallas, Houston and Austin that took place in May and also featured Bad Company and Cheap Trick.

AUSTIN, TX – The Lake Travis Independent School District turned to Austin-based Big House Sound for an assist with an audio upgrade for three theaters, and the soundco provided DiGiCo SD-Range consoles for the different performance spaces, including a 1,500-seat concert hall (SD7), 250-capacity black box theater and 275-seat recital hall (SD9 for each).

LAS VEGAS – The Parnelli Board of Advisors has announced that Karrie Keyes, longtime monitor engineer for Pearl Jam and co-founder of SoundGirls, a nonprofit dedicated to the empowerment of the next generation of women in audio, will receive the Parnelli Audio Innovator Award at the 19th annual ceremony on Jan. 17, 2020.

DALLAS – Country artist Thomas Rhett’s 2019 “Very Hot Summer” North American tour launched in Montreal in late April and will wrap up at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Oct. 12. STANFORD, CA – Stanford University has completed the first phase of a major upgrade program of sound reinforcement systems across its campus athletic venues. A total of 85 column array loudspeakers provide focused power and clear intelligibility in distributed and point source solutions for stadiums large and small.
