ST. LOUIS – On the second weekend in July, Live Nation brought live music back to three sheds – in St. Louis, Nashville and Indianapolis. By “sheds” we mean the amphitheater parking lots. But these lots could hold a thousand cars, so full-blown productions including delay video screens and speakers were involved. Live Nation turned to local vendors to supply all the gear except backline.

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY – FOH engineer Vincent J. “Vinnie” Kowalski, Jr. passed away July 17, 2020 of an apparent heart attack. He was 58. Perhaps best known for his work with Peter Frampton, Kowalski also mixed other artists including Blondie, John Fogerty, Dream Theater, Savatage and Kirk Franklin.

CROWBOROUGH, U.K. – All Saints Church in Crowborough, East Sussex upgraded its sound system with Electro-Voice EVA (expandable vertical array) loudspeakers driven by Dynacord IPX series amplifiers. NAMM Joins Call to Action for Live Event Industry, Urgent Need to Contact Representatives NOW

WASHINGTON, DC – NAMM announced July 16 that it has joined the call to action on behalf of the live event industry and has sent a letter to Senate leaders, urging further assistance to the industry in the form of payroll support, tax relief and loan guarantees.
