In Memoriam: Rupert Neve, 94

WIMBERLEY, TX – Rupert Neve, winner of a 1997 Technical Grammy Award for lifetime achievement for his pioneering designs for pro audio recording gear, died Feb. 12. Through companies including Neve Electronics, AMS Neve, Focusrite and Rupert Neve Designs, Neve’s innovations were sought after and put to use by top recording artists and studios around the world. Neve, a U.K. native who moved to Texas in 1994, is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Evelyn, along with five children.

Georgia Church Creates Flexible Hybrid Worship Format with Meyer Sound Leopard Components

ATLANTA – 12Stone Church, a multi-site congregation serving the Atlanta metro area, has developed a new approach to worship called “12Stone Home.” The concept, launched last summer at the Sugarloaf campus, reconfigured the 900-capacity sanctuary to serve as a hybrid live worship space and video production studio. A touring-style setup incorporating Meyer Sound Leopard components lets the church crew quickly adapt to changing sound reinforcement needs.

AVIXA Postpones InfoComm 2021 from June to October

ORLANDO – David Labuskes, CEO for AVIXA, announced in early February that, following January discussions weighing the pros and cons of postponing InfoComm 2021, the association had opted to push the show back by more than four months. InfoComm 2021, originally scheduled for mid-June, will take place at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center from Oct. 23‑29.
