TEL AVIV, ISRAEL — Following the release of Avid Pro Tools 11, Waves Audio iannounced its support for the AAX Native plugin platform. With this new development, Waves Native plugins are now fully compatible with the AAX platform, also used by Avid HDX systems. Waves supports other plugin platforms, including VST, RTAS, TDM, AudioUnits.

Eminence Speaker’s PSD:2013 joins the company’s line of HF products, including the company’s widely-used PSD:2002 model. The 85 watt PSD:2013 features a 1” throat and promises a smoother frequency response through an improved voice coil design, reducing moving mass and increasing high frequency extension.

Allen & Heath’s ICE-16D is an alternative version of the ICE-16 multi-track recorder launched last year. Both units are 16 In/16 Out audio interfaces, allowing performers and audio engineers to easily capture multi-track recordings direct to a USB drive or interface to a computer.

SYDNEY, Australia – RØDE Microphones has announced the release of the MiCon-11 adaptor cable, which provides connection between the RØDE HS1 headset, PinMic and Lavalier microphones, and TRRS devices such as the Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod touch as well as a large number of Android phones and tablets.

Solid State Logic says its MADI Dante Bridge, featured at IBC 2013 (Hall 8, Stand D.83), is the first broadcast specification bridge linking the MADI audio format and Dante IP Audio Networks.

PreSonus’ new StudioLive AI hardware/software digital mixing and recording systems each feature Active Integration technology. StudioLive AI-series mixers are designed to retain the same surface-driven functionality that StudioLive mixers are known for, while adding more processing power, enhanced workflow features, and Active Integration technology. Like the original StudioLive series, they are also designed to be intuitive and easy to learn and use.

Mega Systems is now distributing Biema’s MAX series, including the MAX 12 (pictured here), MAX 15, MAX 215 and MAX 18. The MAX 12 and 15 offer LF woofer/HF compression drivers measuring 12/1.77 and 15/2.06 inches, respectively. The MAX 215 doubles the number of woofers found in the MAX 15. The MAX 18 has a single 18-inch low frequency woofer that produces sub base frequencies. All can be mounted vertically or horizontally for permanent installations. The MAX 12, MAX 15 and MAX 215 also can be used as a monitor and are pole-mountable. The MAX 18 can be flipped on its side and has pole cups for both positions.

RCF’s NXL 24-A is a full range active column speaker array system with 4 x 6” high power woofers and a 2.5” voice coil compression driver loaded from a waveguide on a 100° x 30° constant directivity horn. The amplifier delivers 1400 watts and is controlled by a DSP for crossover, equalization, phase alignment, soft limiting and speaker protections. Equalizations are available to operate with a single column or in pairs.

Radial Engineering’s USB-Pro is a high-resolution stereo direct box designed to convert sound files from a laptop computer and seamlessly transfer them to a pair of balanced audio outputs to feed a PA, recording or broadcast mixing console.
