PK Sound, the company known for its Trinity Advance Robotic Line Array’s three-dimensional wavefront technology, has released Trinity 10, which PK calls the first mid-size, three-dimensionally controlled sound system of its kind. Trinity 10 features the identical voicing as the full-size Trinity module. Like the larger version, the Trinity 10 is configured remotely, providing users with a new set of tools for optimum control over the vertical and horizontal polar directivity of the entire array, while bringing impressive sound field control to mid-size class line arrays.

Mackie is shipping its 16-channel DL16S and 32-channel DL32S wireless digital live sound mixers in a stagebox form factor. Built-in Wi-Fi supports the free Master Fader 5.0 app for iOS and Android platforms. Support for other DL Series models, as well as Mac and PC control, is coming in Master Fader 5.1. Both consoles offer multi-track capture via USB to create live recordings or playback into each channel for virtual sound checking. MSRP pricing is $999 for the DL16S, and $1,819 for the DL32S.

L-Acoustics noted a plug-in that allows interoperability between its P1 processor, which began shipping in June 2018, and the Q-SYS Platform from QSC. The plug-in lets users monitor P1 through Q-SYS, helping system designers create scalable AV environments using the familiar Q-SYS Designer Software and native user control interface. The L-Acoustics P1 plug-in for the Q-SYS Platform, as well as the LA4X and LA12X Q-SYS plug-ins, can be found on the L-Acoustics website at l-acoustics.com.

Announced at AES 2018, the DM1 Dynamite is an ultra-slim, active inline signal booster that fits seamlessly between your mic and mic pre, providing +28 dB of clean, transparent gain for passive (dynamic or ribbon) mics. With a sophisticated, transformerless Class-A design and high-grade FETs, the DM1 has a low output impedance and ultra-low noise performance. Additionally, the gain it provides is always a consistent 28 dB regardless of the connected load, thanks to its dedicated buffer amplifier. Besides boosting low-output mics, the DM1 can drive long cable runs, while reducing susceptibility to RF interference, buzz and hum.

CAD Audio’s GXLD2 Digital Dual Channel wireless system operates in the 900MHz band free from TV and FCC regulatory issues. Other useful features include a high contrast LCD display for easier readability in low light environments and advanced dipole antenna technology to increase usable operating distance. The receiver also includes professional balanced XLRM-type discrete outputs along with ¼-inch unbalanced outputs for easy connection to ¼-inch inputs. The system is available in three configurations: GXLD2-HH Dual Handheld, GXLD2-HB Handheld and Bodypack, and GXLD2-BB Dual Body Pack. All GXLD2 transmitters are equipped with On/Off and Mute functions along with low battery indicators. The dual handheld transmitters feature the exceptional sounding CADLive D38 capsule, while dual bodypack systems include a CAD condenser headworn microphone and a guitar cable.
