Arista Corporation is introducing E-Vocal ARS-1616S-A00 and ARS-1616S-A10 Dante-equipped stage boxes. These rugged units can connect as many as 16 mics and other analog audio sources to a console via Dante over a single Ethernet cable. The ARS-1616S-A10 has onboard remote controlled preamps (with phantom power) while the ARS-1616S-A00 requires separate preamps. Both are bidirectional and can also convert a Dante stream to 16 analog outputs.

With the release of Yamaha’s new V4 firmware, the Rupert Neve Designs RMP-D8 Dante-connected microphone preamp and converter can now be natively controlled from Yamaha’s flagship RIVAGE PM series mixing consoles. (Native control from Yamaha’s CL and QL series was implemented with a previous firmware release.)
