Big Beach Dance Festival in Japan Relies on RCF Gear

CHIBA, Japan — The Big Beach Dance Festival staged at the Makuhari Seaside Park here recently used a new RCF rig on each of the three stages. The event drew some 20,000 revelers with artists including The Chemical Brothers (playing a DJ set), John Digweed, Beardyman, Timo Maas and more. Promoted by alife Entertainment, adding to the atmosphere of the legendary beach party was a full RCF rig on each of the three stages provided by Comestock, sourced through Ballad Co.

PIPERTON, TN — Living Hope Church, which recently opened its new 700-seat worship center here, contracted with Memphis-based Elite Multimedia to provide the sound system, acoustic treatments and AV system. The setup includes a Midas PRO2C at FOH, d&b T10 loudspeakers for the main sanctuary array (six per side), d&b 4S loudspeakers for frontfills and a single E12 loudspeaker as center downfill, all powered by d&b D6 and D12 amplifiers.

No Structural Defects Found in 2011 Ottawa Bluesfest Stage Collapse

OTTAWA, Canada – Ontario Ministry of Labor authorities have concluded their investigation of the July 18, 2011 stage collapse of a Groupe Berger-made staging structure during a Cheap Trick performance that injured three people, and determined that there was no evidence of structural issues contributing to the collapse. Instead, the blame for the incident was put on freakish weather, and no individuals or companies are being charged with wrongdoing.
