Sommer Cable Octopus Hybrid PUR 443 and 244

Sommer Cable is offering its new Octopus Hybrid PUR 443 fiber-optical hybrid cable line, pictured left, for control applications or for transmitting AES/EBU (or DMX) signals. Along with the 443, which combines four OM3 multi-mode fiber optics with three power supply wires and two signal pairs, the company is also offering its reworked Octopus Hybrid PUR 244, pictured below right, with two single-mode fiber optic lines and two power wires plus two signal pairs. Both the PUR 443 and 244 are touted for their light weight, compact size and rugged design features.

PHOENIX —Clearwing Productions recently purchased two Yamaha CL5 Consoles to keep up with the ever-changing digital audio marketplace. Pictured here is a Yamaha CL5 which had been in use at the Phoenix Theatre; it’s now available for rental from the Clearwing facility in Phoenix. The second CL5 is currently available for rental at Clearwing’s location in Milwaukee, WI.

Bauder Audio Provides Yamaha CL5, M7CL Consoles for Outdoor Hunger Benefit

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — Bauder Audio Systems, Inc. (Philadelphia) and Indre Recording and Production (Havertown, PA) provided audio support for the 2012 Camp Out for Hunger benefit sponsored by WMMR Radio’s Preston & Steve Show. The five-day live remote broadcast included VIP guests, bands, outdoor stunts, and two dozen tractor trailers to haul a record 627,678 pounds of food donations. The event, held Nov. 26-30, also raised more than $100K.
