“Boston Strong” Benefit Concert Set for May 30

BOSTON — A benefit concert to raise funds for Boston Marathon bombing victims has been set for the TD Garden Arena here May 30. Performers will include Aerosmith, NKOTB, James Taylor, Jason Aldean, Jimmy Buffett, Carole King, Boston and J. Geils Band, according to TD Garden and Live Nation New England.

SAN FRANCISCO — Alt-J, a British band that made it onto Rolling Stone’s “Must See Acts” list for Coachella 2013, recently completed a U.S. tour with support from Lance Reynolds at FOH and Ron Sharpless at monitors. Sharpless used a PreSonus StudioLive 24.4.2 digital console for the band’s monitor mixes.

NEW ORLEANS — Sound designer Michael Paz turned to Outline’s iMode technology for the networking backbone at the renovated Little Gem Jazz Saloon, a nightclub/restaurant in New Orleans’ historic “Jazz Alley.” There are two separate performance spaces one floor apart, and Outline’s iMode can be used to monitor, control and run the same program material through both systems simultaneously, Paz noted.
