MINNEAPOLIS, MN – The Varsity Theatre, which is celebrating a 100-year history as a venue for live entertainment here, recently upgraded and expanded with a new in-house sound system from Electro-Voice. The main workhorse of the system is the Electro-Voice XLD281 dual 8-inch line array element, a 3-way system in a compact enclosure. The XLD281s are hung in two lines of six each. The system also includes a half-dozen QRx 218S compact dual 18-inch subwoofers for low-end support.

LOUIS, MO — Fair St. Louis, “America’s Biggest Birthday Party,” was celebrated under the city’s iconic Arch for the last time before a two-year renovation, with Stanco Productions providing audio, video and lighting for the fourth year in a row. KORIYAMA, JAPAN – The Big Pallet Fukushima Convention Center regularly hosts meetings, exhibitions, festivals, and even sporting events, but the 250,000 square-foot facility suffered damage in Japan’s 2011 tsunami.
