Farber Sound Powers ND State Fair with Crown VRACK Amplifiers

MINOT, ND — Great. Big. Fun. That’s how the North Dakota State Fair bills itself, and this July it lived up to its name with rides, rodeos and concerts by Tim McGraw, Journey, Scotty McCreery, Toby Keith, Brantley Gilbert and other acts. Featuring a grandstand that holds up to 16,000 people, Minneapolis, Minnesota audio production company Farber Sound has handled sound reinforcement at the North Dakota State Fair for the past five years, and this year decided to step up their game with a system based around Harman’s Crown VRACK amplifier systems.

RALEIGH, NC – The Red Hat Amphitheater here poses some unique acoustic challenges — a variety of nearby reflective surfaces and strict local noise ordinances. For a recent event featuring American Aquarium, Cravin Melon and the Chris Hendricks band, RMB Audio used Martin Audio’s MLA Compact system to overcome those acoustic issues.

CHARLESTON, SC – Lou Jones of NBS Media Systems, worked with Mt. Moriah Baptist Church to host a sound reinforcement system shootout, which pitted three well-regarded line array systems against a Danley Sound Labs point source system. Mt. Moriah recently expanded, building a new 2,250-seat sanctuary on its property. Needing to have a new sound reinforcement system for the venue, Danley Sound Labs came out on top of all the competitors.

MILWAUKEE, WI – More than 800 acts on 11 stages over the course of 11 days, with more than 840,000 fans in attendance. Those are the stats for Summerfest, rated as one of the world’s largest music festivals by Guinness World Records. Clearwing Productions has been involved in the event since 1995 and worked closely with DiGiCo to provide five systems in key positions at various stages throughout the event.
