Hibino Sound Division Buys First Martin Audio MLA System

OSAKA, Japan – The Hibino Corporation, one of the biggest entertainment production companies in Japan, has purchased Martin Audio’s Multi-cellular Loudspeaker Array (MLA) system. The purchase includes four MLA System 36 rigs plus an additional four MLD downfill and four MLX subwoofers. This gives them a combined inventory of 92 MLA, 8 MLD, and 52 MLX enclosures. The new system promises to cover venues like Nagai Stadium in Osaka (pictured here) without requiring the use of delays.

Designed for portable use, the GK-SFA combines Polar Focus’ XY Grid system and the aiming of its Spine Frame Adapter to let users precisely aim their line array from a Genie (or similar) tower. The Spine Frame Adapter (lower half of assembly) provides infinitely adjustable tilt control to any line array that uses the common front-to-back “spine” support frame. The line array tilt is adjustable under full load with a 9/16-inch wrench, and can be locked down. The pan angle of the line array is controlled and adjusted by a heavy-duty friction bearing.
