Old Dominion University Arena Upgrades with QSC Gear

NORFOLK, VA — The multi-purpose Ted Constant Convocation Center at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, colloquially known as “The Ted,” has undergone  a comprehensive upgrade with an end-to-end installed sound system from QSC for its tenth anniversary. The audio system overhaul at the arena, which seats 8,639 for basketball games, comprised of two separate QSC WideLine-8 line array systems as well as AcousticDesign Surface Mount and Ceiling Mount loudspeakers powered by PowerLight 3 and CX Series amplifiers, with a Q-Sys Core 500i  handling all signal distribution and system processing.

MIAMI — Professional Wireless Systems (PWS) returned to provide another wireless assist for Telemundo’s second annual Premios Tu Mundo awards show. The red carpet event and live broadcast was staged Aug. 15 at the American Airlines Arena here.

BOULDER, CO — Nick Forster, founder and host of the nationally syndicated eTown radio program, worked with Sam Berkow of SIA Acoustics for the program’s 17,000-square-foot specialty venue, eTown Hall, last year. The venue is equipped with Alcons Audio’s LR14/90 pro-ribbon based line-array system, and additional Alcons speakers are used for a stage monitor system and small café rig. SACRAMENTO, CA – Consumnes River College (CRC) is a community college in South Sacramento, California. CRC expanded their program with two new soccer fields and a common press box. Associated Sound of Sacramento designed their new sound system using Community R-Series Loudspeakers.
