Martin Audio to Demo MLA Compact in NYC, DC

NEW YORK and WASHINGTON, DC –– Martin Audio will be demonstrating its MLA Compact loudspeaker system in New York Oct. 21-22 and in Washington, DC on Oct. 24. PASAY, Philippines — Touring in support of its new album Living Things, Linkin Park brought its high-powered alt-metal-rap-rock to the Philippines, performing at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on August 13. BUFFALO, NY — For Ciminelli Recital Hall, a 200-seat performance space within Rockwell Hall at the State University of New York (SUNY) in Buffalo, AVL Design, AV Solutions, Boynton Pro Audio, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems and engineers from Yamaha Japan all had a hand in the design and/or installation of a new sound system that centers on a Yamaha AFC (Active Field Control) system. The recital hall is optimized for small ensemble and solo performances; SUNY Buffalo’s Rockwell Hall also houses an 850 seat performing arts center for larger-scale productions.

ATLANTA – Mumford & Sons had to cancel some shows in June as bass player Ted Dwane underwent, and recovered from, emergency surgery to deal with a blood clot near his brain. The operation was a success, and the band, which has enjoyed a meteoric rise since the 2009 release of Sigh No More, was able to complete its recent “Full English” tour, in support of the band’s recent album, Babel. Solotech provided an L-Acoustics system for the tour.
