Sennheiser Supports Invisible Cities Wireless Opera Project at Los Angeles’ Union Station

LOS ANGELES, CA – Invisible Cities, a new large scale opera heard via wireless headphones, opened Oct. 19 at Union Station here, where it was inaugurated with an official City of Los Angeles Proclamation. The visionary production, which was written by Christopher Cerrone and produced by The Industry and L.A. Dance project, is supported by Sennheiser gear.

FORT WORTH, TX – James Lacey III, a volunteer audio engineer for Tabernacle of Praise (TOP), a nondenominational ministry based here, mixes sound for events staged for two youth ministries, Kidz on TOP (1st to 6th graders) and TOP AGENTS (Army of God Equipping New Teens with Salvation; 7th through 12th grade). Harman’s dbx subsidiary recently donated three 1066 Compressor/Limiter/Gates to the ministry.

LUDLOW, VT – Earlier this year, Yukon Kornelius performed at the FestEVOL 2013 at the Ice House Arena, part of the Okemo Mountain Resort here. The PA system for the rock super-group and other bands consisted of Bose RoomMatch loudspeakers and PowerMatch amplifiers.

LONDON – For the West End musical production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, based on the 1964 book by Roald Dahl, sound designer Paul Arditti specified a system that centers on L-Acoustics KARA components. Autograph Sound provided 47 KARA, 10 KIVA, 10 SB18 and 15 LA8 for the production, staged at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

NILES, IL — When the new school year started at Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA), the 600-student community started classes with a  new on-campus theater. Supporting the school’s visual and performing arts training curriculums, the public arts high school turned the top level of its building into a state-of-the-art black box theater. With this remodel, LACHSA installed Shure wireless ULX-D, Quad Receivers, and PSM900 Monitoring Systems.

WOODINVILLE, WA – Hey Marseilles is everything a great indie band should be – a bit different, slightly quirky, left-of-center, with irresistible songs that burrow their way into your brain, set up camp, and refuse to leave. LAKELAND, FL – The First Baptist Church at the Mall, based here, recently upgraded with nine Soundcraft Si Expression digital consoles in time for the church’s fall season. The consoles are being used in several areas including classrooms, the chapel, the children’s ministry and youth ministries. Of the nine Si Expression consoles Church at the Mall now owns, five are Si Expression 3, three are Si Expression 1 and one is a Si Expression 2.
