Westminster Chapel in Bellevue, WA Installs EAW QX Series Speakers

WHITINSVILLE, MA – Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) reports recent installations at major houses of worship that have included its QX Series speakers. Among them is Westminster Chapel in Bellevue, WA. BUENA PARK, CA — Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. announced the December availability of Version 1.7 software upgrade for the Yamaha CL Series Digital Audio Console. The upgrade, available via free download, is based on end user input and promises enhanced efficiency and versatility, particularly for mixing engineers in festival and similar complex event setups.

NEW YORK – Earlier this fall, Major Tom Ltd. supported British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran’s performance as headliner of three solo acoustic shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden with a Meyer Sound LEO. The system was credited for amplifying the sound of Sheeran’s acoustic guitar so that it could be heard throughout the venue, while also giving the performance an intimate feel in the huge venue.

NILES, IL — Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena was host to the 2013 CMA Awards, known as “country music’s biggest night,” with a live ABC telecast and a venue packed with fans. For the sixth straight year, artists Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley co-hosted the awards, which honored both youth and experience, with a three-hour string of hit songs and unusual collaborations all using Shure’s premium condenser microphones.

BLACKSBURG, VA – Systems integrator Daktronics recently upgraded Virginia Tech University’s Lane Stadium with new Harman’s JBL VLA Series loudspeakers along with BSS and Soundcraft gear. The stadium seats 66,233 and is home to the Virginia Tech Hokies football team. The goal of this renovation was to ensure a high output system and even coverage from seat to seat.

NEW YORK – For the 14th annual T.J. Martell Foundation Family Day, held recently in Roseland Ballroom, Audio Production Services (APS) provided dBTechnologies DVA line arrays for a roster of artists including Jason Mraz, Ed Wheeran, Austin Mahone and Emblem 3. APS owner Simon Nathan hung L-R DVA line arrays  of two T12 and three T4 enclosures per side.  Four T4 boxes provided front fill; two S-30 subwoofers and two DM12 monitors handled the low end.
