PASO ROBLES, CA — 3G Productions provided a d&b audiotechnik sound system for the Vina Robles Amphitheatre’s May through November season of performances last year. The L-R setup includes V8 and V12 loudspeakers with T10 front fills and a cardioid sub array using B2-SUB loudspeakers. Brown Note Productions and its president, Ryan Knutson, also played a key advisory role as the project got underway.

James Lamb Named Band Master of Military Reserve Band

PETALUMA, CA — James Lamb, president of Point Source Audio, has been named first commander of the California State Military Reserve (CSMR) Band. Lamb, who plays the trumpet and also composes and arranges music, was appointed as a Warrant Officer in the State Military Reserve in August 2013. He is now coordinating support for California’s three three National Guard Bands, based in Sacramento, Oxnard, and Los Alamitos.

Rat Sound Supports Rose Parade’s Audio Needs with Shure Gear

PASADENA, CA — The 125th Rose Parade on Jan. 1 featured floral floats, marching bands, and equestrian units along a 5.5 mile route here. Once known as a quaint, horse-drawn parade, the Tournament of Roses draws 700,000 spectators and is seen by millions of television viewers across 200 countries.
