GC Pro Installs D.A.S. Audio Gear for Club 8 in Dallas

DALLAS, TX — For 10,000-square-foot Club 8, which opened in Nov. 2013, Guitar Center’s GC Pro division installed a sound system that includes D.A.S. Audio gear. The main system centers on Aero 12A elements with LX-218CA for the low end and Convert 12A for delays. Additonal D.A.S. Audio gear is used for monitors and for sound reinforcement beyond the club’s 100-by-65-by-20-foot main room.

AUSTIN – Audio-Technica’s microphones and headphones were used by SXSWfm, the online radio portal of the South By Southwest (SXSW) festival. RCF Announces Rep Awards Winners

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – At its biannual rep meeting here in January, RCF USA honored high achievers with manufacturer rep awards. Cowser Marketing received the 2013 RCF USA Rep of the Year award. Jerry Sehi, southern Florida product specialist for Quest Marketing, and  Tod White, president of Bob White Associates, received individual rewards. Academy Awards Piano Heard via DPA Microphones

LOS ANGELES — To isolate the sound of the piano from nearby percussion instruments during the Academy Awards ceremony March 2, the show’s orchestra mixer, Tommy Vicari, and orchestra setup coordinator, Dan Vicari, used DPA Microphones’ d:dicate 4011A Cardioid Microphones and d:vote 4099 Instrument Microphones. The Vicari brothers also used a pair of d:dicate 4011E Hanging Microphones for the orchestra’s drum kit.
