Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station Installs 254 Community Professional Loudspeakers

POINT LEPREAU, NB, Canada – As part of a facility-wide upgrade, the Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station here installed a plant-wide public address system. The facility’s management turned to Backman Vidcom, which provided 250 Community RMG-200AT loudspeakers for the large outdoor spaces and four Community RSH-462s for voice pages across the large yard at the plant.

LIVERPOOL, U.K. – Adlib Audio, a rental house based here, is expanding its distribution of Adlib Audio speakers for installation projects. The company has been making, installing and using the AA range for the last 15 years, primarily for its own installations and projects, and will now make the AA series available for re-sale worldwide. Currently there are four products available for re-sale in the AA range – the AA61, AA81 and AA121 – containing 6, 8 and 12 inch drivers respectively, complete with a dedicated AA12HL 12 inch sub.

Parashoot Supports Ane Brun Tour with Allen & Heath iLive

STIGTOMTA, Sweden – PA rental company Parashoot, based here, has been supporting Norwegian singer songwriter Ane Brun’s European tour with an Allen & Heath iLive and ME personal monitoring system for FOH and monitors, respectively. Parashoot, which has worked with Ane Brun since 2007, used an iLive-T112 system, mixing both FOH and monitors on the same console. xDR-16 I/O expander racks were positioned on stage, one left and one right, along with an iDR-16 MixRack. The ME setup includes five ME-1 personal mixers with a ME-U hub as the power and distribution system on stage.

BOGATA, Colombia — Metallica will expand its touring inventory with 76 units of the new MJF-210 stage monitor from Meyer Sound. The Water’s Edge Resurfaces after Super Storm Sandy

BERKELEY TWP, NJ — As part of the recovery process in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the new owners of The Water’s Edge restaurant, bar and catering facility turned to Boulevard Pro for new audio gear from Yamaha, inside and out. The indoor space now has a Yamaha CIS MTX3 audio processor, two DCP1VS keypads, and 48 Yamaha VXC4W ceiling speakers. The waterfront bar/lounge system includes a Yamaha LS9-16 digital audio console, Yamaha TX4n amplifier, Yamaha DXR 12×2 monitors and IF2112M95 speakers.
