Avid has released VENUE Version 4.1.3 software, a free download for owners of the Avid S3L live sound system (pictured here). V4.1.3 doubles the system’s on-board plug-in slots (from 20 to 40) to provide engineers with even more processing options. VENUE 4.1.3 also offers support for the latest qualified AAX live sound plug-ins.

LONDON — Britannia Row Productions once again chose Turbosound’s Flashline line array speaker system in January this year for the annual tour of Young Voices, which featured a full band and a choir of several thousand primary school pupils performing at major arenas throughout the U.K. The setup included Flashline TFS-900H, Flex Array and TQ-440SP enclosures and TFS-900L subwoofers.

Read More »Jands Installs Harman Gear for Darlington Theatre Company’s Eternity Playhouse
SYDNEY — Eternity Playhouse, the new home for the Darlington Theatre Company, is housed within the renovated Burton Street Tabernacle. The theatre company opted to install gear from JBL’s VP (Venue Performance) Series to optimize the sound within the space. The venue has also been equipped with a Soundcraft Si Expression 2 digital mixer for FOH mixing. Jands’ account manager Rod McKinnon led Jands’ technical resource team on the project.
