Thunder Audio Provides L-Acoustics K2 system for Moogfest

ASHEVILLE, NC  — Moogfest, the electronic technology, art, science and music festival named for analog synth pioneer Bob Moog, took place here for five days in late April with performances at more than 10 venues. For audio reinforcement at US Cellular Center’s 2,431-seat Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, which served as the festival’s primary stage, Thunder Audio provided its recently acquired L-Acoustics K2 loudspeaker system.

Cadac noted that the application served both as the new console’s musical theatre debut and as the highest-profile use of the digital desk to date. It also marked the first time Walker used a digital console on such an elaborate theatre production.

Cadac V2.1 Software Update for CDC eight Consoles

Cadac unveiled its V2.1 software update in the U.K. recently. By pressing the SELECT button on a VCA, users can now deploy the VCA group members on the console surface. Users can also switch between input-driven and mix-driven Fader Follow at a touch of the screen. It is also now possible to view and access single input channel contributions to multiple busses, or a single bus’ contributions from multiple inputs when in Fader-Follow mode.

CMI Sound Systems Upgrades School Auditorium with Community Gear

ROCKY HILL, CT — For the 500-seat auditorium at Rocky Hill High School here, John Pizzoferrato of CMI Sound Systems provided an audio system upgrade that included two Community ENTASYS 220 loudspeakers, two Community VLF-208LV subwoofers, an Ashly DSP processor and and a pair of Ashly amplifiers while reusing the school’s existing mixer and microphones.
