LOS ANGELES — Producer/recording artist Brian Marquis has chosen Telefunken’s M80 dynamic microphone for the Acoustic Basement Stage on the Van’s Warped Tour. Rat Sound is providing the P.A. for the tour. With more than 100 bands and artists, the Van’s Tour is covering most of North America this summer. The final show will be in Denver on Aug. 3.
POZNAN, Poland — Gigant Sound Letus, based here, recently augmented its inventory of Outline loudspeakers with an order that included 48 GTO, 32 GTO C-12, 64 DBS 18-2 subwoofers plus 12 flying frames. The added gear enables the company to split its Outline inventory into eight identical subsidiary systems. Each of these include six GTO, four GTO C-12 and eight subwoofers — powerful enough to handle a range of events, but also easily transported by truck, set up and flown or ground-stacked as needed.
