DPA Microphones Helps Ivan Rutherford Bring Sound of Broadway to Hong Kong

HONG KONG — Actor and singer Ivan Rutherford, who has performed the role of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables over 2,000 times on Broadway, sang a series of Broadway hit tunes for a recent one-off show staged at the Academic Community Hall here recently. The show, titled A Taste of Broadway, got an assist from DPA Microphones and its Hong Kong distributor, Digital Media Technology. Rutherford performed with DPA’s d:facto vocal mic, and the company’s d:dicate 4011A Cardioid and d:vote 4099 Instrument Microphones were used for a piano that accompanied Rutherford’s voice.

CHICAGO — Outkast, the hip-hop duo consisting of André “André 3000” Benjamin and Antwan “Big Boi” Patton, is touring with DiGiCo SD10s at both FOH and Monitors positions. The consoles are looked after by Darcy Khan and Kevin Brown, respectively.
