Jewel Returns to the Stage with Sennheiser and Neumann

OLD LYME, Conn. – Singer and songwriter Jewel is back in the spotlight, promoting a new country music album, Perfectly Clear, and hitting the road for a lengthy U.S. tour with Brad Paisley following some TV promotion, including appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Jewel, who was famously discovered while performing solo in the coffee shops of San Diego, first adopted Neumann’s KMS 105 on her 2006 tour with matchbox 20 singer Rob Thomas, and is once again using the wired vocal mic with her new five-piece band.

University Ice Rink Goes the Distance with Aviom

SEOUL, KOREA, — A recent installation of Aviom gear at the University of Ulsan ice rink proves that you don’t have to sacrifice sound quality when transporting audio over long distances.  The Korean university wanted a way to send audio from its radio station/studio to remote clusters of speakers in its ice rink over a stretch of some 500 feet/150 meters. Transporting audio signals over such an expanse without sacrificing quality often presents system designers and contractors with a challenge and end users with expensive options.  This project at the University of Ulsan was no different.

Sennheiser Announces Record Results for Fiscal Year 2007

OLD LYME, Conn. –Sennheiser, the parent company of Sennheiser Electronic Corporation, has announced a positive balance for the fiscal year 2007 with worldwide sales up by 10.9 percent. Total global sales at the Sennheiser Group amounted to €395.3 million (approximately $626 million USD). With this result, Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG is continuing the successful series of results of recent years. Among the Sennheiser product divisions, the headphones segment held the top position.
