Audinate Announces New US-Based CEO

VENTURA, CA —Audinate has appointed Lee Ellison as CEO. Ellison’s appointment coincides with the Australia-based company's establishment of a U.S.-based headquarters including sales, marketing and customer support. Ellison has worked in a variety of technology sectors, most recently as CEO of SustainOne, a strategic consulting company. Prior to that, Ellison was sales and marketing officer of Dilithium Networks and general manager of Glenayre’s wireless business unit.

Radial Engineering SW4 Festival Switcher

The Radial SW4 is a four-channel club and festival switcher that allows the system tech to switch between various mixing consoles and music sources, such as a CD player, DJ mixer or iPod. The Radial SW4 features four stereo inputs: 1, 2 and 3 are 100-percent passive balanced XLR for high-end touring consoles. Input 4 is active and designed for CD players, DJs, and I-Pods. It is set up with 4a and 4b input sets for use in multi-function facilities. A headphone monitor bus allows any or all of the sources to be selected for pre-switch auditioning. A stereo monitor bus output is also available to drive reference monitors or a second sound system.

Cajundome Gets Reinforced with Electro-Voice Sound System

LAFAYETTE, La. —Louisiana-based Gulf Coast Sound (GCS) and consultants Acoustic Dimensions (Dallas) recently installed an Electro-Voice XLC sound system into the Cajundome in Lafayette, La. The 12,086-seat Cajundome is the Lafayette area’s premiere venue for regional and national concert tours, the Louisiana State Boys Basketball Tournament, and also serves as the home for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s men and women’s basketball teams.

Golden Acres Baptist Church Adds Danley Loudspeakers

PHENIX CITY, Ala. — Golden Acres Baptist Church recently underwent two changes—one gradual and the other abrupt—which necessitated an overhaul of their no-longer-adequate sound system. First, the church slowly introduced contemporary elements into their services, which placed more demands on their old system than it was able to withstand. Second, the church added a 225-seat balcony to its existing 500-seat sanctuary, requiring a complete shift in coverage patterns.
