Oprah Uses Gold-Plated Shure Mic for Kickoff Party

CHICAGO — Oprah Winfrey used a custom gold-plated Shure UR2/KSM9 wireless microphone at the Season 24 Kickoff Party for The Oprah Winfrey Show on Michigan Avenue in Chicago.  Shure wireless systems were also used by guests Jennifer Hudson, Rascal Flatts, and James Taylor.  Shure headquarters are located in nearby Niles, Ill.

LONDON — The Kingsway International Christian Centre’s (KICC) annual London event, called the International Gathering of Champions (IGOC), drew a daily crowd of close to 12,000 to London’s ExCeL Centre and was broadcast live to an estimated 55 million followers in Africa, the Caribbean and Europe. Organizers relied upon an audio system that included a Midas XL8 Live Performance System and Klark Teknik DN9696 high resolution audio recorder.
