Ontario Ministry of Labor Issues New Safety Guidelines for Event Structures

TORONTO — The Ontario Ministry of Labor issued new guidelines on the safe use of event structures for live performances on June 19. They include recommendations for appropriate structural design and materials, correct positioning on the site, ground conditions and foundations, proper planning and control of work practices, ongoing inspection of the finished structure during use and the development of an Operations Management Plan (OMP) that includes weather monitoring and emergency procedures.

NILES, IL — The 2013 Tony Awards broadcast was a critical and ratings success, posting a 20 percent increase in viewership. Freeman Coliseum Finds Its Sonic Focus With L-ACOUSTICS

SAN ANTONIO, TX – San Antonio’s Freeman Coliseum has been going through a multi-year initiative to update the entire venue. Bexar County and the facility’s management, teamed up with LD systems to install 40 ARCS Focus and 16 SB 18i subs into the venue to improve the sound quality in the coliseum. The new system is powered and processed by a combined total of 8 amplified controllers, two LA4 drive the bottom ARCS Focus while six LA8 power both the subs and upper four ARCS Focus cabinets.
