Harman Acquires Australia-Based SM Pro Audio

NORTHRIDGE, CA — Harman acquired Melbourne, Australia-based SM Pro Audio, which will now operate as a division of Harman Professional.  Blake Augsburger, president, Harman Professional, noted that the privately held company’s innovations and engineering talent could enhance Harman’s Soundcraft mixing products, starting with the Ui Series mixers featured at Winter NAMM 2015, and a wide array of other pro audio and MI-related offerings in the near future.

Peavey Selects New Distributors Barnes & Mullins for U.K. and Ireland

MERIDIAN, MS  – Peavey Electronics announces it will utilize two new distributors for the European market. Barnes & Mullins will be the new United Kingdom and Ireland distributor, and IMS will distribute the Peavey, Trace Elliot and Budda lines in France. The agreement was confirmed at the NAMM Show in Anaheim, Calif., where Barnes & Mullins’ joint Managing Directors Brian Cleary and Bruce Perrin stood alongside IMS owner Jacky Boissel for a photo call with Hartley Peavey, Peavey Electronics’ greatly respected founder, and Peavey C.O.O., Courtland Gray.

RALEIGH, NC –– For two concerts featuring operatic pop foursome The Tenors at Raleigh’s Memorial Auditorium, RMB Audio provided a Martin Audio MLA system that included 12 MLA Compact enclosures and six DSX subwoofers per side, with four MLA Mini cabinets for lip fill, all networked via U-NET.
