Chevelle Concert Attendee Dies from Injuries Sustained in Fall

CHICAGO — A concert attendee died May 22 after falling six to eight feet onto organ pipes during a performance by alt-metal band Chevelle at the Aragon Ballroom. Kyle W. Kirchhoff, 24, was pronounced dead after sustaining severe chest injuries from the fall. He had reportedly stepping off a catwalk onto a portion of ceiling before falling through and landing on the pipes.
