Yoshi’s San Francisco Equipped with Custom EAW Loudspeakers

SAN FRANCISCO – Yoshi's most recent jazz venture, in San Francisco's Fillmore Heritage Center, carries on the tradition begun by founder Yoshi Akiba and her partners Kaz Kajimura and Hiroyuki Hori in 1973, when they opened a small sushi restaurant and jazz club in Berkeley. EAW's Strategic Engineering Group customized its AX Series to keep the much-larger newer club's sightlines clear without compromising the sound.

AKG, JBL Gear Helps “Whisper House” Murmur and Shout

SAN DIEGO – For Whisper House at the Old Globe Theatre, the sound design team of Dan Moses Schreier and associate designer David Bullard chose AKG's DMS 700 wireless microphone system outfitted with AKG handheld mics including the C5 condenser, D5 dynamic, D7 dynamic handheld. Schreier and Bullard also used left and right clusters of JBL VRX932LAP Powered 12-inch 2-way line array loudspeakers suspended from the proscenium for the orchestra-level audience, and two arrays of VRX928LA speakers targeted at the balcony.
