Four Reasons to Add Subwoofers to Church Services

Obviously, there is such a thing as Too Much Bass, but I’d say there are four good reasons to consider using subwoofers in our sanctuaries. First, people are now accustomed to hearing (and feeling) a lot more low-end than ever before.  Second, modern worship music tends to feature more low-end than ever. Third, rap, hip-hop and EDM have arrived in church. These genres rely extensively on low-end. Fourth is that if we add the capacity for deep low-end, we don’t have to try to force more bass than the system can handle.

Product Hits of ISE 2024

BARCELONA, Spain – The 20th annual ISE show took place from Jan. 30-Feb. 2 in Barcelona with a record-setting 73,891 attendees from 162 countries. A total 1,408 exhibitors displayed a wide range of pro AV products and services. The new sound reinforcement products on display included a variety of mixing consoles and new speaker designs. In Memoriam: Bob Heil, 83

ST. LOUIS, MO – Bob Heil, one of the founding fathers of concert touring, the first audio manufacturer enshrined in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and a 2007 Parnelli Awards Audio Innovator Lifetime Honoree, passed away Feb. 28, 2024 of cancer. He was 83.
