No Structural Defects Found in 2011 Ottawa Bluesfest Stage Collapse

ARMAGH, Northern Ireland — Market Place Theatre & Arts Centre here has become one of the first venues to install Allen & Heath’s new GLD digital mixer. The new setup, which replaced an analog desk, includes a GLD-80 mixer plus an AR84 I/O rack in the control room and an AR2412 rack down on the stage floor.

LONDON — The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert earlier this month included a large network of Midas consoles.  Britannia Row FOH engineer Josh Lloyd specified a setup including two Midas PRO9 and one Midas PRO2C units for FOH, with Midas XL8, PRO9 and PRO6 consoles for monitors. The system also included 14 Midas DL431 digital mic splitters to manage the 96 channels for the house band plus 96 additional orchestra channels.

LONDON — Nissan and London nightclub operator Ministry of Sound recently introduced the Juke Box, a new automotive design noted for an installed sound system engineered by Martin Audio that is capable of producing up to 150dB.

LONDON — The BBC will broadcast the London 2012 Olympic Games from the specially-built International Broadcast Centre (IBC) in the Olympic Park, using seven Harman Studer Vista and OnAir consoles and a Route 6000 network core.

SEOUL — Eidim Audio Visual, based in Buena Park, CA but with offices around the U.S. and also in Seoul, provided audio support for the 5,500-capacity, multi-level Kwang Mying Church here with Adamson gear. The main sanctuary setup included six Y10 enclosures, four SpekTrix 5 degree enclosures as under hang and two flown T21 Subs per side. Eidim also provided four SpekTrix enclosures for center fill due to the room’s extensive width and 10 CB1 cabinets as under-balcony fills and delays. On the stage, there are also 10 10MX monitors.
