SSL To Host Free Live Console Training At U.K. HQ

OXFORD, U.K. –Solid State Logic (SSL) is offering its Live Console Operator Training Days at company headquarters here Sept. 17-18, Oct. 1-2 and Nov. 5-6. The one-day courses are designed to serve as an introduction to the SSL Live console and will include hands-on experience for all participants. While offered at no cost, the free events do require advance registration.

RCF Powers Ultra Music Festival

SPLIT, Croatia – The Ultra Music Festival was powered by 100s of RCF’s TT+ Series products. The main PA consisted of two hangs of 20 TTL55-A dual 12” three-way active line array elements with a straight cardioid array of 42 TTS56-A dual 21” active subwoofers electronically curved via the algorithm in RCF’s proprietary RDNet to achieve a wide and smooth sub-frequency coverage. Additionally, eight HDL20-A dual 10” active line array modules were utilized for front fills. Sidefills comprised an array of six TTL55-A (left) and 10 TTL55-A (right) while two delay towers situated 200-feet back were covered by hangs of 8 TTL55-A.

Harman Professional announced that SSE Audio Group has been appointed a Soundcraft Vi Select Dealer, and immediately purchased one of the first Soundcraft Vi3000 digital consoles. SSE’s Vi3000 had had its first major outing at the recent Isle of Wight Festival where it was used to mix monitors for Travis.

Both models incorporate a large high resolution color TFT display with touch screen control and use advanced digital techniques to provide both higher frequency range and wider functionality. The Displayed Average Noise Level (DANL) noise figure is better than -160dBm/Hz and a minimum full scale reference level of -40dBm allows signals down to -120dBm to be seen. RBW and VBW are adjustable from 300Hz to 10MHz in 1:3:10 sequence.
