MANCHESTER, U.K. – Wigwam Acoustics used DiGiCo and Optocore’s latest software to build the first Multiplexed DiGiCo Fiber Ring systems for use in the live environment. The systems transfer both audio, data and video, allowing a range of DiGiCo mixing consoles and Optocore devices to work seamlessly together. The setup supported Top Gear Live and the annual Hillsong Conference Europe.

Deutsche Welle Uses RTW TouchMonitor to Monitor Sound Levels

When broadcaster Deutsche Welle sought to make its programming compliant with the EBU-R128 loudness mandate, it turned to RTW’s TouchMonitor line of audio meters to make the transition. Engineers working on various broadcast shows use the RTW TM3 units in a combined setup with the existing RTW PortaMonitor, which is used for monitoring level, loudness, frequency response and phase of analog and digital signals systems, as well as the RTW TM7 units at the company’s dubbing suites. The TM9 units are being used with an installed radar option, for a more detailed look into the composition of the metering data.

DEDHAM, MA – Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems will be among the exhibitors at the Parsons Audio Expo on November 6. The event will take place at the Dedham Holiday Inn on Thursday, November 6. Scull opted for Meyer Sound’s LEO linear large-scale sound reinforcement system with the 1100-LFC low-frequency control element and SB-3F sound field synthesis loudspeakers. Dallas-based WJHW designed the system, installed in two phases by Parsons Electric and Pro Sound & Video.

RENO, NV – The Whitney Peak Hotel may be the only non-smoking, non-gambling hotel in town, but that’s not the only way that its owners are striving to set it apart from its competitors. In a bid to draw big-name artists to the concert venue, Cargo, they installed a sound system centering on EAW KF740 line arrays. Dan Bishop, production manager at Cargo, designed the system and oversaw the installation by Moon Lighting and Sound.
