Tornado-Torn Congregation Rebuilds; New Church and School Using Ashly Gear

JOPLIN, MO – After one of the worst tornados to ever hit the U.S. destroyed St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Elementary School in 2011, the church and school relocated southwest of the city. The school made the most of the unfortunate situation by building a new infrastructure that would accommodate the needs of its growing congregation and student body. The new facilities include a multipurpose cafeteria that features JBL in-ceiling loudspeakers and Ashly’s Pema 4250.70.

Ellen’s Design Challenge Makes use of DPA Microphones

LOS ANGELES, CA – Furniture building isn’t the only demanding aspect of Ellen’s Design Challenge, a four-week-long HGTV reality show produced by Ellen DeGeneres, which began airing on January 26. In addition to the six competitors who are trying to make it to the end – using saws, drills and welders, among other noisy tools, to complete the weekly tasks – the audio team faced the daunting task of providing clear, crisp audio that is not interrupted by the hum of the machines.
