Singer-songwritter Tori Kelly is among the artists who have participated in performances on the Capitol Records rooftop.

Revisiting the Rooftop Concert – A Capitol Idea

The last concert the Beatles ever played was on a rooftop. Now Capitol Records, the label that distributed the Fab Four’s records in the U.S., is bringing that moment full circle. In addition to a refresh of the recording studio at the iconic platter-shaped building that sits on Vine St., near its legendary intersection with Hollywood Blvd., the label is also hosting live music performances on the roof. It’s another indicator of how the narrative arc of the music business has changed, with live music now the dominant revenue generator.

Foo Fighters Fighting Adversity with Boost from Delicate, SES and L-Acoustics Gear

QUEBEC CITY, Quebec, Canada — The Foo Fighters and frontman Dave Grohl have been grappling with bad luck this year. Lightning storms plagued their early June headlining gig at the Rock am Ring festival in Germany, forced the evacuation of their July 4 RFK Stadium show in DC and also cut short their July 11 gig on Quebec’s Plains of Abraham. Then there’s the broken leg Grohl sustained after his June 12 fall from the stage in Sweden, which nixed shows slated for U.K.’s Wembley Arena, Glastonbury and other big tour stops.  As Grohl’s leg and ankle slowly heal, Delicate Productions and SES has the band’s back, supplying L-Acoustics’ K1/K2 enclosures for the tour.
