ANAHEIM, CA – The 22nd annual Parnelli Awards took place on Jan. 26 during NAMM 2024 at the Anaheim Convention Center. The ceremony, which sold out with 700+ attendees, received numerous plaudits in the days following the event. Embracing the Complexity of ‘Harmony’ on Broadway

Audio pros may be constantly on the hunt for weird tricks and hacks that, at a stroke, make their jobs infinitely easier. But sometimes there are no easy answers, and you just have to dive in and embrace complexity. That was the case for sound designer Dan Moses Schreier, FOH mixer John Sibley and the rest of the cast and crew for Barry Manilow’s “Harmony, a New Musical” on Broadway. Audio-Technica Expands Commercial Audio Product Sales Territory for BP Marketing Group

STOW, OH – Audio-Technica named the sales rep firm BP Marketing Group for the territory comprising Wisconsin and northern Illinois, for its commercial audio products. This move expands the territory that the company represents for Audio-Technica, which previously included Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and western Wisconsin only.

Dead & Company Extends Residency at Sphere in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS – On Feb. 2, one day after FOH received a press release about a residency featuring Dead & Company, Sphere Entertainment Co. announced additional dates for the ‘Dead Forever – Live at Sphere’ residency at the unique venue, with concerts set for three nights a week from May 16 through July 13 with 24 shows in all. Like Phish’s April 18-21 run (and unlike U2), the Dead & Company shows will feature a different set list each night.

ISE 2024 Breaks Records at 20th Anniversary Show

BARCELONA – Integrated Systems Europe 2024 was the most successful edition in its 20-year history, according to Integrated Systems Events, the convention’s organizers. Taking place at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via venue from Jan. 31-Feb. 2, the show attracted 73,891 attendees from 162 countries. This sets a new record since the show’s inception in Geneva in 2004 and represents an increase of 27% on the 2023 edition.

NAMM Announces Eight New Board Members

ANAHEIM, CA – The annual meeting of members convened on the first day of The NAMM Show, where NAMM (The National Association of Music Merchants) welcomed eight new board members to its Board of Directors. Each director is elected to serve a three-year term through January 2027.
