Live sound veteran Dennis Verduchi, the founder and operator of sound company Soundstage Productions, in Providence, RI, passed away on August 19, 2024. He was 72. Verduchi was not only a skilled sound engineer but also a talented bassist and singer and was a friendly person who was known and loved by anyone and everyone involved in the local music scene.

ANAHEIM, CA – The Offspring performed a 30th anniversary homecoming show celebrating the 1994 release of their third album, ‘Smash’ on June 1 at Honda Center in Anaheim, CA, dovetailing with the venue’s own 30-year milestone celebrations. Final Week to Nominate Hometown Heroes; Parnelli and ‘IT’ Award Nominations Continue

LAS VEGAS – This is the last week to nominate companies for the annual Parnelli Award for Hometown Hero Sound Company of the Year. Based on those nominations, 36 companies – six for each of six regions of North America – will appear for a first round of Hometown Hero voting in September. The six top regional vote-getters will then be included on the Parnelli Awards ballot for another round of voting in November. And the separate nominations process for other Parnelli Awards, including Indispensable Technology (IT) honors, is also now underway.
