Rainbow Room Installs Line Array System with NEXO and Yamaha

NEW YORK – With magnificent views of the Manhattan skyline, the Rainbow Room was conceived as a formal supper club and intimate establishment where the elite of New York could gather and dance to legendary musicians. Citiview AV, a New York-based full service location production company has overseen the Rainbow Room for about nine years and has had a long-standing relationship with audio installer Boulevard Pro of New Jersey. “The previous line array system in the Rainbow Room was installed about eight years ago, and with the new technology currently available, I re-approached Boulevard to recommend a new system,” states Citiview Owner Steven Lichtensteiger. 

DAVIS, CA – Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts at the University of California Davis campus is the premiere performance venue in Northern California. Named after the family that founded the famous Robert Mondavi Winery in the Napa Valley, the Center hosts more than 100 performances annually, including world-renowned philharmonic orchestras, rock concerts, lectures and dance performances, as well as various programs presented by UC Davis. Jackson Hall, Mondavi’s 1,801-seat venue designed with natural acoustics mimicking the world’s best classical concert halls in Vienna and Amsterdam, is now equipped with a sound system comprising Meyer Sound M’elodie line array loudspeakers and 600-HP subwoofers.

ESCONDIDO, CA – With die-hard Dylan fans celebrating his current late-career renaissance, the folk legend’s onward-rolling Never Ending Tour continues to entertain concertgoers both familiar with and new to the artist’s decades-spanning work. For the tour’s most recent North American leg, which featured solo performances from the inimitable Elvis Costello as the opening act, FOH Engineer Pablo Wheeler requested a Soundcraft Vi6 digital live sound console. Escondido, Calif.-based Sound Image, which has been supplying PA systems for Dylan’s tours for the past seven years now, was happy to oblige.

Daytona, FL – After providing solid backline support for the entertainment at this year’s historic 50th Annual Daytona 500, ASR ProEvents had to produce the same concert quality audio at an intimate celebratory dinner party for 40 or 50 of the NASCAR-founding France family’s closest friends. As described by ASR’s Kenny Holton, “basically, we had to bring in touring audio results into a 30 x 50 square foot area without totally overwhelming the space.
