iLive-144 on monitors for Anach Chuan at the Corbeyrier

CORBEYRIER and MARTIGNY, Switzerland – Allen & Heath's iLive digital mixing system was used to manage two recent music festivals held in Switzerland – the two-day Festival de Loup in Corbeyrier and the Journée des 5 Continents cultural festival in Martigny.
At the Festival de Loup, Allen & Heath's iLive digital system was used to mix monitors for the second year running. The two-day festival is a celebration of everything Celtic, with Celtic food, folk tales, dance and music, featuring top Irish band, Grada, and French band, Blackwater.

The sound engineer, Roland Dupertuis, used a modular iLive system, including an iDR10 MixRack and iLive-144 control surface, for a range of instruments that included electric guitars and bass, harps, mandolins, bagpipes and accordions.

"I have managed monitors for the festival for several years and decided to use A&H's digital system again this year," Dupertuis said. "As usual, iLive enabled fast set changeovers, and was very simple to use. The smiles on musicians' faces told me the sound was great."

At the Journée des 5 Continents cultural festival, Sierre PA company Sound & Light used a modular iLive-144 system on monitors and an iDR-48 MixRack with iLive-T112 control surface at FOH.

The two systems were connected using Allen & Heath's Audio and Control over Ethernet (ACE) link, which enabled the engineers to share facilities such as talkback, CDs and FX.

"The visiting band engineers were very impressed by iLive, and many of those working at FOH remarked on the quality of sound," said Dupertuis, who was managing FOH sound.
