TEWKSBURY, MA – In the five years since Avid launched its VENUE D-Show system in 2005, the company has added the VENUE Profile system, VENUE Mix Rack system and VENUE SC48 to its product line.
Avid credits its ability to bring studio-quality mixes and clarity to live performances for its growing roster of industry partnerships with soundcos including Clair, Sound Image, Firehouse Productions, Solotech, Spectrum Sound, Sweetwater Sound Productions and Clark, among others.
VENUE gear has been used at tours, festivals, clubs and houses of worship, including 2009 tours for U2, Paul McCartney, No Doubt, Bruce Springsteen, Coldplay, Dave Matthews Band, Fleetwood Mac, Nickelback and more.
"VENUE consoles have changed the way I approach mixing," noted John Cooper, FOH engineer for Bruce Springsteen. "Today, I have greater control over the workflow and can detail the mix in a way that was just not possible a few years ago. The plug-in architecture and Virtual Soundcheck have enabled me to work offline to determine which plug-ins are best suited for my live mixing environment, as well as build presets to make use of live. The ability to record direct to Pro Tools has also increased my value to the production and streamlined the process overall. The support that I have enjoyed since day one with Avid Digidesign has truly been unequaled. It's a privilege to be onboard with such a great team."
To commemorate the five-year milestone, Avid is offering sound professionals an opportunity to trade in their older analog or digital mixing boards and receive up to a 20 percent discount on new Venue systems. The trade-in discount offer is good through March 19.
