ANAHEIM, CA – FOH Magazine is playing a key role with the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM)'s new Hands-On-Training (H.O.T.) Zone at the 2010 NAMM Show, set for Jan. 14-17, 2010. Bill Evans, FOH editor, is moderating sessions that focus on the digital sound crossover between studio and stage and the "White Spaces" issue.
The Studio Comes To the Stage: Digital Audio For Sound Reinforcement is set for Jan. 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Evans will moderate a panel of engineers and sound company owners who straddle the worlds of stage and studio. They will discuss developing technology and how best to use it.
Wireless Strategies: Dealing with White Spaces, New Regulations and an Overcrowded Spectrum follows, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. It will focus on the latest edicts from the FCC and how the audio industry is adapting to new regulations, limitations on spectrum and the changing wireless landscape.
As with other H.O.T. Zone sessions, the two sessions are available to NAMM attendees at no charge.
"This year, we're working closely with a number of partner organizations and media outlets that serve these segments to create a new and valuable education track to meet their needs and giving them even more reasons to attend this year's NAMM Show," said Kevin Johnstone, director of trade shows, NAMM.
FOH Magazine, PLSN Magazine and more than a dozen other industry organizations associated with live audio, house of worship and stage and lighting industries are involved in the 2010 NAMM H.O.T. Zone program.
