STRAUBING, GERMANY and MORRILTON, ARKANSAS — During the same financial quarter in which Bosch completed their acquisition of Telex Communications (resulting in the formation of Bosch Communications Systems), substantial cash investments were put into effect at the Straubing, Germany and Morrilton, Ark. facilities manufacturing the Dynacord and Electro-Voice product lines. The investment is meant to allow for construction of 43,000 additional square feet of production space at Dynacord HQ in Straubing, with an additional 9600 square feet of office space and a new 64,500-square-foot warehouse. A 6400-square-foot area will serve as a sound stage for audio testing and measurement.
At the Electro-Voice facility in Morrilton, Bosch's two-million-dollar-plus investment is intended to improve throughput capability, build times and production precision, with investments going into the plant's wood mill and transducer production lines. Improvements include CNC routers, high-energy magnetizers, automated adhesive dispensing and numerous tooling upgrades.
