HANOVER, Germany — Speaker manufacturer Kling & Freitag has added experienced FOH mixer and industry expert Marco Kuhnmünch as its new director of sales.
Kuhnmünch has been in pro audio since 1998. “In this profession I have done just about everything: small and fine things, big and loud stages, international productions, conferences – the spectrum is really wide, and if you like being at the mixing desk, you’ll try out everything,” he says.
Also a certified engineer for vehicle systems engineering, he left that industry to join Thomann for about 12 years, first in the studio department, where his job was mainly the support of premium brands. And then moved on to the “Audio Professional” department, where he parlayed his experience from the live business and sales experience into success.
“Clearly, I have our position in the sound reinforcement market in my sights,” he said, speaking of his future visions. “Our fixed installations are on such a high level that we can create a kind of industry standard. With our outstanding products and especially with the great K&F team, we will not only be in line with international competition, but we will set trends ourselves.”
