QSC announced its new TSC-G2 Series touch screens, offering native integration with the Q-SYS Platform.
More details from QSC (www.qsc.com):
QSC, LLC, is pleased to introduce new additions to the TSC-G2 Series of touch screen controllers for the Q-SYS Platform:
• TSC-47w-G2 – 4.7” (119mm) touch screen with 960×540 resolution
• TSC-55w-G2 – 5.5” (127mm) touch screen with 1280×720 resolution
• TSC-80w-G2 – 8.0” (203mm) touch screen with 1280×800 resolution
• TSC-116w-G2 – 11.6” (203mm) touch screen with 1920×1080 resolution
The TSC-G2 Series combines capacitive touch technology with a bright, high-resolution LCD display, in-plane switching (IPS) technology for better off-axis viewing and Power over Ethernet (PoE) connectivity for simplified single cable installation. Because Q-SYS consolidates audio, video and control processing into a single platform, the TSC-G2 Series touch screen controllers operate without dedicated control hardware, and can be programmed to trigger actions on any native Q-SYS device or third-party devices connected to the Q-SYS system.
“As part of our expanded Q-SYS Control portfolio, these new touch screens offer our customers a more comprehensive selection for any installation looking to add in-room control,” said Greg Mattson, Product Manager for Installed Systems, QSC. “Combined with our updated
Q-SYS UCI Editor and newly revised custom scripting environment, these touch screens allow integrators to easily design and deploy custom user control interfaces (UCIs) with open standard tools and programming languages, ultimately reducing traditional AV control design time.”
Simplified UCI Design
With no programming experience required, designers simply drag and drop any DSP or control component from the Q-SYS Schematic into Q-SYS UCI Editor. Then simply deploy on native
Q-SYS touch screens with a simple software push.
For more complex systems, the Q-SYS Scripting Engine includes new Controller components that allow users to create custom scripts using modern scripting languages including Lua. Users can also use the Q-SYS Block Controller component, which is an open source visual programming tool that uses interlocking, graphical blocks to represent common programing code concepts.
The new TSC-G2 Series allow for easy surface mount installations in a wall, lectern or similar flat surface. Optional table top stand accessories are available for the TSC-80w-G2 and TSC-116w-G2 models.
ISE 2018
The new Q-SYS touch screen controllers will be on display at ISE 2018 in Amsterdam at the QSC stand 7-E200. Visitors can also get a hands-on demo of new Q-SYS UCI and scripting options. For more information on QSC at ISE, please visit: www.qsc.com/ise2018.
